Our CompactFlash modules are put through a custom validation station which tests the entire flash card for proper read-write operation no less than 5 times on each block, and also lays down both random and zero patterns during testing to ensure that no previous information on the flash card is left from previous use. This is a custom flash validation system that we built, and feel strongly enough about our superior testing system that we offer a lifetime warranty on all vendor refurbished flash. When you receive the flash, put it into your Cisco device and then format or erase it to prepare it for use - this typically only takes a few seconds.
